IIA Time · Time Tracking
Time clock, leave, absences and staff records. Legally sound.
Why IIA Time
Hours in Excel, leave requests by e-mail or on paper, remaining leave in the HR person's head, and compiling everything for payroll at month end. Yet clocking in is the first thing of the working day. That is why time tracking gets its own menu entry at the very top in IIA, and the question “who is absent today?” is answered in the same dashboard as quotes and invoices.
Detailed explanation
IIA Time is not a mere project hours overview but time tracking under Austrian law. Employees clock in, break and out, request leave or report sick days. Supervisors approve directly from the e-mail. The payroll export is created at the push of a button.
What you can do with IIA Time
- Time clock with come, break and leave, running timer, hours balance and weekly or monthly list, including correction and cancellation with log, midnight split and public holidays
- Staff record per employee with basic data, working-time model, start date and leave entitlement under the Leave Act: 5 weeks, 6 weeks from the 26th year of service, pro rata in the first 6 months
- Absences with approval flow: leave, special leave, sick days, time off in lieu, home office, field service, doctor's visit. Requests go by e-mail to supervisors, approve or reject directly from the mail
- Requesters can change or cancel their own requests at any time, approved leave is credited back
- Three visibility levels: employees see only themselves, supervisors their team, the tenant admin everything. Rights such as “adjust hours”, “approve”, “export” and “view reports” per person
- Team calendar by month with absence bars, remaining leave per person and direct editing from the calendar cell, team cockpit with staff cards
- Export as PDF with signature fields, as ZIP or Excel for payroll: only actual working days per model plus days with entries or absences
- Strict tenant separation as in all IIA modules, all settings also under Settings → Time tracking
Manual vs. IIA Time
Without IIA Time, time tracking usually means: hours in Excel, leave requests by e-mail or on paper, remaining leave in the HR person's head, and compiling everything for payroll at month end.
IIA Time records time as you clock, calculates balances and remaining leave itself, runs requests through approval and creates the payroll export at the push of a button. For clarity: month-end closing with lock, automatic reminder for forgotten clock-out and a calendar subscription (ICS) are in progress and not yet included.
Example from practice
An employee requests two days of leave on her phone. Her supervisor receives an e-mail and approves with one click. Remaining leave is adjusted immediately, the bar appears in the team calendar, and management's dashboard shows “1 absent” under staff on that day.

Frequently asked questions about IIA Time
Is time tracking always included in IIA?
No. IIA Time is an optional module you can add to any IIA solution. The menu entry appears only once it is booked. During the trial the module is included.
Does every employee see the others' times?
No. Everyone sees only their own time tracking and profile. Supervisors see their team, only the tenant admin sees everyone.
How is leave entitlement calculated?
Under the Austrian Leave Act: 5 weeks times working days per week, 6 weeks from the 26th year of service, pro rata in the first 6 months. Approved leave debits the account, cancellations credit it back.
Can I hand my records to payroll?
Yes. The export as PDF with signature fields, as ZIP or Excel contains only actual working days per working-time model plus days with entries or absences.
What does IIA Time cost?
IIA Time costs € 4.99 net per user per month, or € 47.90 per user per year with annual billing (20% off). It can be added to any package; IIA Signature already includes 10 users, and you can add more at any time.
