Receipts live in folders, inboxes and phone photos. At month end everything is sorted, typed up and compiled for the tax advisor. The question “what is costing money right now?” cannot be answered without opening three systems. IIA Vault brings receipts, invoices and cost centers into one module and shows open items directly in the shared dashboard.

IIA Vault is your digital receipt management with AI support. Invoices are uploaded or photographed, read automatically, assigned to a matching account from your real BMD chart of accounts and prepared for export to your tax advisor. Outgoing invoices are created straight from the customer in IIA Pulse.

- Upload by file or photo scan, multi-stage text extraction with OCR fallback for scanned receipts
- AI reads issuer, invoice number, date, net/gross, VAT and VAT ID, uncertain fields are flagged as “needs review”
- AI account suggestion solely from your stored BMD chart of accounts, with reasoning, flagged as “unverified” until confirmed

Manual vs. IIA Vault
Without IIA Vault, receipt management means: type every invoice into a system or spreadsheet by hand, look up the right account yourself, sort receipts for the tax advisor manually and compile them in the right format.
IIA Vault reads receipts and suggests accounts automatically, you only confirm. The BMD-ready file for your tax advisor is created at the push of a button. For clarity: there is no automatic API connection to BMD Com because BMD offers no public API. The import is done via the prepared export that you or your tax advisor upload.
Example from practice
A trades business photographs fuel receipts and supplier invoices with a phone. IIA Vault reads amount, date and supplier, suggests the account from the tax advisor's chart of accounts and assigns the cost center “fleet”. At month end a BMD export goes out instead of a shoebox.

What is IIA Vault?
IIA Vault is the finance and accounting module of IIA. It manages incoming and outgoing invoices as well as receipts centrally and prepares them for accounting or tax advisory processes.
Does IIA Vault replace the tax advisor?
No. IIA Vault structures receipts and analyses and simplifies handover to accounting or your tax advisor, but does not replace tax advice.
Can IIA Vault be booked on its own?
IIA Vault is an optional module and included in the IIA Ledger Suite. With the IIA Flow Suite it can be added.
Can I capture invoices on the go?
Yes. Log in on your phone, scan the receipt with the camera and upload it directly to incoming invoices.
In which format is data exported?
As a BMD-compatible ZIP file for direct import into BMD, plus incoming and outgoing invoices each as CSV.
